# DiviFlash MCP Overview

DiviFlash MCP connects AI apps like Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, and Cursor to your WordPress website, allowing them to create and edit content, build Divi 5 pages, import images, manage menus, and configure supported DiviFlash settings.

**Important Note:**

- DiviFlash MCP is available in **DiviFlash 5.8.0 or later** and supports **Divi 5 only**.
- It requires **WordPress 6.9 or newer**. Older versions display a compatibility notice and prevent connections.
- The AI can create and revise draft pages but cannot publish pages or modify already published pages.
- AI-generated pages may not exactly match the supplied design. Review them before publishing.

## Enable MCP Access

- Go to your **WordPress Dashboard > DiviFlash > MCP**.
- Turn on the **MCP access** toggle in the top-right corner.

Once enabled, the **Connect an AI app** section becomes available.

## Connect an AI App

You can connect DiviFlash MCP to different AI apps using a connector URL, terminal commands, or a configuration file. Follow these two steps to set up your preferred AI app.

### Step 1: Choose Your AI App

Under **Choose your AI app**, select the app you want to connect. The setup and authentication methods vary by app:

### Step 2: Connect Your App

After selecting an app, follow its setup instructions below. The panel on the right provides the URL, commands, or configuration needed to complete the connection.

#### Claude Chat & Cowork

- Name it anything you want, paste the URL, and continue through the connector setup.

- Click Copy server URL and add it as a remote MCP server in your app.
- If the app supports OAuth, sign in and click Allow on your website’s consent page.
- If the app only accepts an authentication header, use an application password instead.

**Alternative: Use an Application Password**

If the app requires an authentication header:

- Click **Use an application password instead**.

 ![](https://diviflash.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/diviflash-mcp-15.webp)

- Check the confirmation box and click **Generate prompt**.
- Click **Copy** and paste the setup prompt into your AI app, or use **Copy config** for manual configuration.

 ![](https://diviflash.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/11/diviflash-mcp-16.webp)

**Important Connection Notes:**

- **Local or HTTP websites:** Claude Chat & Cowork and ChatGPT require a publicly accessible HTTPS website for the standard connection. For local development, use a compatible setup through Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
- **Application passwords:** The generated password is shown only once. Save it securely and never share setup prompts or configuration files containing credentials.
- **OAuth authentication:** Lets you authorize the connection through WordPress without sharing your WordPress password with the AI app.

## How You Can Use DiviFlash MCP

Once connected, you can ask your AI app to create Divi pages, revise drafts, or prepare supporting content and settings.

### Start a Request in Your AI App

Open your connected AI app and make sure the DiviFlash MCP connection is active.

**AI App****How to Start**Claude Chat & CoworkStart a chat or Cowork task and enable your website's connector.ChatGPTOpen a chat, type @, and select the plugin by the name you gave it during setup.Claude CodeType /mcp to confirm the server is connected, then enter your request.CodexOpen Codex in the environment where you configured the MCP server and start a session.CursorCheck the connection under Settings > MCP, then open Agent chat.Other MCP AppsEnable the configured MCP server and enter your request in the app's chat or agent interface.

Once the connection is active, describe what you want the AI to build or change on your website.

### Build a New Page

Share a Figma link, screenshot, or written description of the page you want. The AI can then:

- Analyze the design and plan the page sections.
- Apply the requested content, brand colors, and fonts.
- Select suitable DiviFlash and Divi modules to build the layout.
- Save the completed page as a draft for review.

You can find the generated draft under **Pages > All Pages** in WordPress.

**Example prompt:** "Build a landing page from this Figma link. Use our brand colors and include a hero section, features grid, pricing cards, and contact form."

### Revise a Draft

To update an AI-generated draft, describe the changes in your connected app. The AI edits the existing draft rather than creating a new page.

**Example:** "Shorten the hero heading, arrange the pricing cards in three columns, and add a testimonials section above the footer."

### Prepare Content and Settings

The AI can also perform supporting tasks when building a page. Like:

**Task****What It Does****Import Images**Adds images to your Media Library from a public URL.**Add Posts and Menus**Creates sample blog posts or a menu when the page needs them.**Enable Modules**Turns on a DiviFlash module that the design requires.**Adjust Extensions**Reads and changes the settings of site-wide DiviFlash extensions, such as Back To Top.

**Note:** Enabling modules and changing extension settings can affect other parts of your website, not just the new page.

### Review and Publish

The AI can check the draft for common issues, including missing images, placeholder content, disabled modules, and empty sections. However, you should review the page before publishing.

- Go to **Pages > All Pages** and open the draft with Divi Visual Builder.
- Check its layout, content, links, images, prices, and other important details.
- Ask the AI to make changes or edit the page manually.
- Publish the page once everything is correct.

**Note:** Always verify AI-generated content and functionality. The automated checks do not guarantee that the page is error-free.

## Manage Connected Apps

The **Connected apps** section lists the AI apps authorized to access your website. Each connection is associated with a WordPress user and can be managed separately. To disconnect an app:

- Go to **DiviFlash > MCP**.
- Find the app under **Connected apps**.
- Revoke its access.
