It’s been almost two years since Divi Cloud was introduced but there are still a lot of Divi users that do not know how to take advantage of it.

That’s why, we have brought out this Divi Cloud guide, where we will discuss everything we know about it so far and more.

What is Divi Cloud?

Divi Cloud is a cloud storage solution designed just for Divi users. You can store, organize, and access Divi layouts, sections, rows, modules, and other content elements online.

Divi Cloud was introduced in April 2022, and before that, users had to manually export and import items and layouts from their Divi library. That process was a hassle and time-consuming. But now, you can use Divi Cloud to store and manage Divi Builder elements and use them in multiple websites instantly.

When you’re building a page, you can save your favorite design elements, sync them from your Divi Library, or upload Divi layout exports in bulk. Once you save items to Divi Cloud, these items become instantly available for use on any website you are working on, as long as you are logged into your Divi account.

With this feature, you can easily access your stored layouts and elements, which improves your workflow.

Currently, Divi Cloud runs on a freemium model, offering free storage for up to 50 items to every Elegant Themes member. For those who need more, Divi Cloud offers unlimited storage for a premium subscription.

How to Use Divi Cloud?

To use the Divi Cloud, you need to have an active Elegant Themes membership. Without a membership, you won’t have the privilege of using the Divi Cloud.

How to Log In to Divi Cloud?

To log in to Divi Cloud, follow these steps-

  1. Open any of your web pages and enable the visual builder.
  1. Once the visual builder is enabled, click on the three dots at the bottom to reveal the plus (+) icon and click it to open the Divi Library.
  1. When the Divi Library opens, on the top right corner, you will see the option to sign into Divi Cloud.
  1. Then you will be required to use your Elegant Themes membership credentials to log in to Divi Cloud. Once you log in, your session will be active for 30 days, so you won’t have to use your credentials again.

Divi Cloud User Interface

Now, you are ready to use the Divi Cloud. We will walk you through Divi Cloud’s interface so you can understand how to use it.

  • On the left, you will see a sidebar, where you have the options to manage and organize your Divi Cloud by location, category, and tags. You can also search for any specific item from the search bar.
  • On the items, you will see three dots on the bottom left. Click on this to find more options to manage your items. Also, you will see a cloud icon beside the dots, which means that the layout is already saved to your Divi Cloud.

Once you click on the three dots, you will get the following options-

  • On the top right, you will see three tabs: Premade Layouts, Your Saved Layouts, and Your Existing Pages.

The premade layouts tab has all the premade layouts from the Divi library, your saved layouts tab has the items that you have saved to the Divi Cloud, and the existing pages tab has the pages of your websites.

  • You can also sort the layouts from the dropdown at the top right and change the view by clicking on the folder icon.

  • Enhanced Organization: Divi Cloud lets you easily manage and organize your design assets by creating folders and categorizing them. This makes it easy to manage and organize the items.
  • Visual Browsing and Search: The Divi Cloud has a visual browsing experience, complete with search, filter, and reorder functionality, so you can find exactly what you’re looking for.
  • Cross-Website Accessibility: Saved items in Divi Cloud are available across all of your websites connected to your Elegant Themes account. That means you don’t have to export and import layouts manually.

  • Unlimited Storage: Divi Cloud also offers unlimited storage for a small price every month.

Divi Cloud Roadmap

Divi Cloud Roadmap outlines upcoming features and updates that will expand Divi Cloud’s capabilities and improve user experience. In the future, Divi Cloud will allow its users to store way more than layouts and design elements. For example-

  • Divi Cloud Libraries: Divi Cloud Library will make Divi Cloud even more useful by allowing users to organize and categorize all of their cloud assets into libraries.
  • Theme Customizer Settings: The upcoming Theme Customizer Cloud feature will allow users to save and store Theme Customizer configurations directly to the cloud. By reusing customizations across multiple sites, users can maintain consistency and efficiency in their design workflow.
  • Divi Builder Presets: With Presets Cloud, Divi users will be able to store their design presets in the cloud. Using this feature, users can fast-track the development process and ensure design coherence by easily accessing and applying predefined design elements while building Divi websites.
  • Divi Theme Options: Theme Options Cloud will enable users to export custom theme configurations to Divi Cloud, for easy migration and deployment of theme settings across various projects. This feature simplifies the task of managing theme configurations and ensures consistency in design and functionality.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Integrations Cloud will let you save content that you create from third-party plugins in the cloud and use it anytime. You will be able to centralize your assets in Divi Cloud, whether they’re contact forms, events, or other content types.
  • Full Websites: This will allow the export of entire websites to the cloud, which will make building a new website a lot easier.
  • Child Themes and Plugins: In the future, Divi Cloud will have the ability to serve as the central storage hub for Divi Child Themes and Plugins.
  • Colors and Fonts: By saving custom font files and color palettes to the cloud, users can eliminate the need to search for font files and hex values repeatedly.
  • Divi Builder Settings: The Builder Settings Cloud will let you export and import Divi builder settings so you can switch between projects with ease.

Divi Cloud vs Divi Library

While both Divi Cloud and Divi Library serve as repositories for storing layouts, modules, and other design elements, their scope and functionality differ significantly.

You can save and retrieve items only within a specific website’s environment with Divi Library. It’s convenient for individual projects, but you have to export and import assets manually to use across multiple sites.

The Divi Cloud, on the other hand, goes beyond the limitations of individual websites by offering a centralized cloud-based platform for storing and accessing design assets.

Divi Cloud enables Elegant Themes users to access their templates from any site connected to their license, authenticated with an API key, from anywhere. By doing so, all licensed sites can access a unified “giant Divi library”, which eliminates manual exporting and importing.

Divi Cloud Pricing: Is it Worth Your Money?

Yes, Divi Cloud could be worth your money if you have multiple sites built with the Divi theme or builder.

As a regular Elegant Themes member, you will have access to store 50 items in the Divi Cloud. But if you need unlimited storage, you can get it for $8/month or $48/year, which we think is not a heavy price to pay for what Divi Cloud is offering you.

This is even more valuable if you are an agency owner who is heavily reliant on the Divi theme or the Divi builder. In that case, Divi Cloud can save you a lot of time and hassle.
