“Coming Soon” is a temporary landing page that is used to inform visitors about a website launch. It’s a way to build anticipation and also to collect leads before launching your website.
But, Divi doesn’t have any feature for that. Which is why you either have to write custom code or go for a plugin like DiviFlash that has a feature to enable coming soon mode.
In this guide, we are going to show you how to create a coming soon page in Divi and also the setup process. The process is super easy that even a beginner can follow and apply.
Preview of Our Created Coming Soon Page
Here is a demo page that we will create first with Divi modules. After that, we will use DiviFlash to set the page as our site’s coming soon page.
Note: If you like our demo and want to use the same design, you can download the layout file for free. There you will find more attractive demo designs.
Required Setup
- Divi theme is installed and activated.
- DiviFlash is installed and activated. (Make sure you have the latest version.)
As soon as the required setup has been completed, proceed with the coming soon page creation. Here is how to do it:
Step 1: Create and Design Coming Soon Page
- Navigate to WordPress dashboard > Pages > Add New, and name your page.
- Click on the “Use Divi Builder” button and choose “Build From Scratch”.
- Then insert a single column from the row inserter. (Configure section and row settings according to your design needs.)
- Next, add modules and customize them with content and design settings. We used the following Divi modules for our demo:
- Countdown Timer to display the launch date.
- Heading to announce “coming soon” or “under construction.
- Text to provide a brief description.
- Email Optin to collect visitor emails.
Once you have added modules and configured their content and design settings, save your page and exit the Visual Builder.
Step 2: Setup the Coming Soon Page
To enable and display coming soon page in Divi, follow these steps:
- Navigate to WordPress dashboard > DiviFlash > Settings.
- Scroll down to find out “Maintenance Mode” and enable it.
- Next from “Choose Maintenance Mode Page” settings, select your created page.
- Enable Hide Header/Footer in Maintenance Mode, or both, to keep the page clean.
Now simply visit your Divi site from a different browser or incognito window to see the “Coming Soon” page in action.
Note: To know more about each setting of the “Maintenance Mode” feature, check out its documentation.
Conclusion
That’s it! Your “Coming Soon” page is now live and ready to capture leads while you work on your full website. You can always update the design using Divi Builder.
And when your site is ready to launch, disable this mode by navigating to WordPress dashboard > DiviFlash > Settings, and toggling off the “Maintenance Mode” feature.
