CV Resume layout, created by the DiviFlash team, is designed to showcase skills, experience, and qualifications in a professional manner. To use this layout on your Divi website, you can follow one of the following importing methods:
- Method 1: Using the DiviFlash layout importer (One-Click Layout Import)
- Method 2: Manually importing the layout
In this article, we will provide step-by-step instructions for both methods.
Method 1: Using DiviFlash Layout Importer
DiviFlash features a built-in layout importer, allowing you to import any of its layouts with just a one click.
Here is how to do it:
Step 1: Install and activate the Divi Theme.
Step 2: Install and activate the DiviFlash Plugin.
Step 3: Go to your WordPress dashboard > DiviFlash > Layouts, and search for “CV Resume”.
Step 4: Hover over the “CV Resume” layout and click on Import Layout button
- A popup window will appear, displaying a list of layout settings and server requirements.
Note: To ensure a seamless import, please verify that all requirements are met (indicated by green checkmarks). If you see any red crosses, adjust your server settings and refresh the page.
- Once all requirements are confirmed, click “Start Importing” to begin the layout import process.
- The import process may take a few minutes to complete.
- As soon as the import is complete, you will see options to go back to layouts or customize the menu. (Since this is a single-page design, you need to assign CSS IDs to each section and create a menu based on those IDs.)
Step 5: Next modify the imported layout’s menu by following the steps below:
- Go to WordPress dashboard > Pages and click “Edit With Divi” on the page titled “Home”
- Click on the Settings icon of the section you wish to add to the menu (e.g., Skills).
- Navigate to the Advanced tab > CSS ID & Classes > CSS ID and copy the CSS ID for later use.
- Repeat this process for each section you want to include in the menu (e.g., Services, Experience, Portfolio, Testimonials, Contact).
- Go to Appearance > Menus, and create a new menu.
- From the Pages section, select the “Home” page and click “Add to Menu.”
- Next, select Custom Links and fill in the following details:
- URL: Add a hashtag and paste the copied ID (e.g., #skills).
- Link Text: Enter your desired menu name (e.g., “Skills”).
- Repeat the same steps to add custom links for Services, Experience, Portfolio, Testimonials, and Contact.
- After that, in the custom link make the following changes to add “Download CV” in the menu:
- URL: Enter the link to your CV file
- Link Text: Enter “Download CV” as the menu name.
- After creating a menu, assign the ‘download_btn’ class to the “Download CV” menu button. You can follow this guide: Divi layout menu customization.
Once all custom links are added, click the “Save Menu” button to apply your changes.
Step 6: After customizing the menu, set your site’s homepage page by following these steps:
- Navigate to the WordPress dashboard > Settings > Reading.
- Under “Your homepage display,” select “A static page.”
- Choose “Home” from the homepage dropdown
- Click on “Save Changes” to save the changes you made.
